This service is an online database tool which allows you to view the forecast
electronically, as well as create customized queries. Benefits of CSM
AutoBase™ include customized download, 24-hour access, and all available
global and regional files per your company's subscription. A license including
a login and password is needed to access this data.
- What are CSM Advance Efiles™?

This service provides an easy and efficient means to access your CSM global
and regional forecast Excel files. Benefits of CSM Advance Efiles™
include quick download, 24-hour access, and all available global and regional
files per your company's subscription. A license including a login and
password is needed to access this data.
- How do I get my login and password information?

If you have lost your login information please email info@csmauto.com
with your complete contact details and a customer service representative will email your login information
within one business day.
- What services does my company have access to?

If you have your login information you can view the services your company
subscribes to in two ways. CSM AutoBase™ and CSM Advance Efiles™ allow you to
expand the outline in the left panel of the screen to view services available.
If you do not have a login, please email

- Who do I contact if I have a question about a forecast?

In CSM AutoBase™ you can find the analysts contact information under
the "Profile" tab. In CSM Advance Efiles™ the key analyst contact
is embedded in each file.
- When are new data/Efiles posted?

Once you have logged in to Advance Efiles you will see a green link labeled 2007 CSM Publication Schedule in the left hand column of the screen.
- How do I tell if the data posted is new?
-
For CSM AutoBase™ click on the "Profile" button in the green menu
bar at the top of the screen. This will list the most recent revision of the
data online. For CSM Advance Efiles™ each file has a creation date located
directly to the right of the file posted.
- What is the difference between engine installation and engine production?
-
Engine installation represents the amount of engines that are installed into a
vehicle at the vehicle production plant. This type of query is run by suppliers
that are providing vehicle/engine specific components like belts, manifolds and
exhaust systems.
Engine production is the amount of engines that are produced
out of a given engine plant. This type of query is run by suppliers that are
sending components to an engine facility such as blocks, heads, cams, pistons,
and crankshafts.
- What is the difference between CSM's premium and abbreviated Market Level Production Forecasts?
